Hi,
Here is my weird phone story.
About 18 years ago I
became very inquistive about the bible. Long story short I ended up studying
with a Jehovah's witness girl named Jackie. I had no intention of becoming a
witness but I wanted to learn the bible and she was willing to go through it all
with me and teach me. We studied for hours every week.
After a few months it became very obvious she wanted me to join her
religion, and I told her on the phone that evening I understood what she wanted
from me but I couldn't become a Jehovah's witness as I believed them to have a
low opinion of women. The men were too 'chauvinistic' for me. I couldn't join a
religion that believed men were the 'head' of women. She said well, that's my
decision I guess we won't be getting together anymore, but you realize what this
means' and I said 'what'? She told me I was leaving Jehovah's protection by
quitting my studying and she couldn't study with me anymore because I knew
enough to know the 'truth' and should be making the decision to become one of
them. I said if that's how you feel about it fine, I don't need 'Jehovah'.
At the time I meant only that I didn't need their way of looking at
religion but I didn't know how else to say it succinctly. I felt
distinctly uncomfortable when I said it, I didn't like the way it came out at
all, but I figured 'God' understood.
I hung up the phone.
It rang
almost immediately.
I picked it up, Jackie was on the other line,
babbling and crying incessantly, and unintelligably. I must mention here that
Jackie had a very distinct voice, it was exactly her voice.
I was
totally alarmed, she sounded as if something really horrible had just happened
over there in the few moments we were not on the phone together. I yelled
'Jackie! What's wrong! ? What?' She continued to babble and cry as if she
were trying to form words and ask for help, but she was unable to speak
coherently. I decided to hang up and call the police or head over there or
something. I told her to call the police and then I hung up.
I suddenly
felt as if I abandoned her and I called her back to say I was coming right over
but I was also calling the police. She answered the phone immediately with
a calm "Hello"?....I was astonished she was suddenly so 'normal' and asked her
what was THAT all about, she said 'what are you talking about' and I explained.
She got very quiet and said 'I didn't just talk to you, I don't know who or what
that was but I told you not to do that'. She was referring to my decision to
stop studying.
One thing I must mention here; Jackie would not have done
anything 'false'. I knew her very well and she definitely would not have
'faked' that phone call. The voice on the other end of the phone that sounded
exactly like her was tremendously unhinged and I don't believe anyone could've
faked that call.
After this happened I experienced about 2 months of
very blatant paranormal activity in my house until I went back to Jackie and
resumed our studies.
I have no explaination for this, but it happened
just that way.
