Hi!  My name is Debora,

I had a really weird thing happen to me with the phone about 8 months ago and I still haven’t figured it out.  I was visiting my mom one day at the nursing home where she was living.  It was back in May 2004 when I went to see her with my kids.  I was just sitting there talking to my mom and the phone rang.  I answered it as I always did when I was there.  I said hello and they said on the other end Delores?  I said no this is Debora and I started talking to them and carried on a conversation with them because I thought I knew who it was but I never asked them who they were.  I then asked them since when do you call mom (because no one ever called my mom but me and two other cousins who are girls and this was a man) and they said Oh! I call now and then.  I asked him if he wanted to talk to mom and he said no I’ll just talk to you so we went on talking until we got disconnected. I hung up the phone thinking OK they will call me back.  Well a few minutes later the phone rang again and it was him again and like I said before I thought I knew who it was (my male cousin in Florida) so we went on talking some more.  He asked me how have I been and what was I doing.  I told him I’ve been fine just taking care of the kids and that I was there with the kids visiting mom.  It felt so right like I knew who I was talking to except my cousin in Florida never called my mom nor did he have her phone number but I figured he got it and decided to call her.  We went on talking and I asked him what he was doing and I even remember asking him if he was not working today because it was during work hours.  I don’t remember getting an answer but the conversation was mostly about what I was doing.  It wasn’t too long and then the phone went dead again.  I had asked him after the first time what happened and he just said we got cut off.  After the second time he never called back and I was so puzzled because normally someone doesn’t just leave you hanging without calling you later on and saying something like I’m sorry but my phone went dead or we kept getting cut off or something to let you know that it was them who called.  I never found out who it was and I even went home that day and called my cousin in Florida (I live in Houston) and asked his wife if he had called and she said that she didn’t think he or they even had mom phone number and that he is at work and doesn’t make calls from work.  I asked her to ask my other cousin which lives down the street from them who is his brother and I found out later that it wasn’t him either.  I also called my uncle their dad who lives down the street from them as well and he said it wasn’t him either.  He would be the only other one who would call her which he is her brother.  My cousins had never called her and my uncle would call her on occasions but very seldom because it was long distance.  The only people who ever called her where myself, and my two other cousins and they are women.  So then the really strange part is that my mother went in the hospital a couple of weeks later and died.  I wonder was that her father calling from the other side or my brother that died some 33years ago.  Everyone I have asked says that they did not call.  I am still trying to find out some how.  I am even trying to get some paranormal activity from my mom on a tape recorder at night to see if maybe she can tell me who it was.  When she was alive it baffled her as to who it was and she never even got to talk to who ever it was.  I guess she knows now and I wish she would tell me because it is driving me crazy not knowing.  I may not have thought much else about it but then my mom dies shortly afterwards, well that made it really strange to me.  I hope I can find out some day or I’ll just have to wait until I pass over to the other side to find out.  Until then it will remain a mystery.  ???????????????????
